Tie-Up Textiles was established in the fall of 2016 as a bold alternative to the mainstream motifs and color palettes so long associated with home décor. We believe that a house becomes a home when the products we fill it with inspire the every day moments. For us, that inspiration comes from an appreciation for the past and a sense of adventure for rediscovering the present.
Our unique approach is founded on the platform of distinct, small-batch, artisan textiles. Honoring traditional techniques, each of our woven textiles are drafted and created by hand, on a floor loom, in our quaint Pennsylvania studio. In addition, our shibori and rust dyed fabric techniques are proprietary and signature to our brand.
It is from these elements that our digital prints come to life. Borne from our original hand woven and dyed pieces, each new machine printed work has been digitally manipulated to create an infinite assortment of color-ways and textures for pillow face collections and fabric by the yard.
In an ever-evolving industry, we believe in both preserving and challenging traditional textile techniques. Tie-Up’s passion for unique design is illuminated by trade practices new and old, and the art of combining the two. Our love story for the home is an interpretation of southwestern textures and color, industrial history, and an eclectic hodgepodge of modest living. We invite you to explore the shop and check back often for unique finds and a one-off shopping experience.
